Job Summary: This position is a “working” supervisor meaning the individual is involved with both the administrative and “hands on” physical activities of the Distribution Warehouse. Management reserves the right to amend or alter the following duties on an as-needed basis. Schedule:

Monday-Friday 8-5pm Job Responsibilities: Supervisory Duties: This position will typically supervise the Warehouse Associate(s): Select, train, assign daily workload to subordinate(s); coach and communicate job expectations tor subordinate(s). Physical Duties:

This job requires the ability to perform physical activities in the warehouse environment approximately 50% of the time, or as required, including but not limited to: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., as required and at times on a daily basis, to include lifting/picking/ bending to reach product, which is typically stored at shoulder level or below, and placing product on a pallet, conveyor or mobile cart. Ability to operate forklift as required and at times on a daily basis for a variety of purposes, including but not limited to loading and unloading one or several pallets from tractor trailer via the use of aforklift, electric pallet jack or manual pallet jack. Some pallets could weight up to 2000 lbs. As required, daily or multiple times daily, ability to walk with a mobile cart to the shipping/packaging area, walking up to 100 ft. As required, and at times daily or multiple times daily, ability to walk and stand in a cold environment (minus 10 temperature) to put-away and pick product from racks. As required, and at times daily or multiple times daily, ability to stand on cement floor for extended periods, walk short distances, lift materials up to 125 pounds with assistance, for the purposes of: Receiving, moving and putting away of material into storage bins Picking product for shipping Preparing/palletizing product for shipping Validating pickers’ accuracy prior to shipping product Administrative duties: This job requires the ability to sit for extended periods, including but not limited to Allocating and waving orders for picking and shipping via the use of the warehouse management system. Preparing bill of lading, commercial invoices, calling in trucks. Working closely with the Customer Account Representatives, the Purchasing department, Accounting personnel and the Greensboro distribution center. Operational duties:

This job requires the ability to see, hear, communicate and prioritize, often while sitting at a desk or walking about the facility for extended periods, including but not limited to: Ensuring inventory transfers to the other warehouse is accomplished. This requires doing computer transactions, calling counterparts in other warehouses and coordinating with the Purchasing departments. Maintaining inventory accuracy by performing or coordinating daily cycle counts, reconciling variances with the Purchasing dept. This function requires the use of the bar code scanner and generating the cycle count list. Ensuring that all daily transactions and material moves are done prior to the “day end” rollup to ensure next day reports are accurate. Maintaining storage area by organizing floor space, adhering to storage requirements (i.e. hazardous and frozen materials stored in proper areas.) May work with the Warehouse Assistant. Ensuring that inventory is picked in a “first in, first out” methodology. Recommending improvements to the warehouse process. Ensuring safety and security policies are adhered to. Delegate workload to Warehouse Associate. Required certifications and knowledge:

Is or must become certified via a 3rd party training company in shipping hazardous materials via ground (49 CFR) and via air (IATA). Is or must become certified via a 3rd party training company in the use of power industrial trucks, typically, forklift, electric pallet runner, order picker, and manual pallet jack. Familiarity with a barcode warehouse environment. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in warehouse or distribution operations. At least 1 year of supervisory or lead experience in a warehouse environment preferred. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and up to 125 lbs. with assistance. Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize and delegate tasks.
