LARGE MANUFACTURING PLANT IN KNOXVILLE IOWA IS LOOKING FOR 3 MAINTENANCE MECHANICS. LOOKING FOR SHARP ELECTRICAL MECHANICAL TECHNICIANS.
THIS IS A UNION ENVIRONMENT.
NEED TO HAVE 480V, PLC TROUBLESHOOTING, VFDS, GEARBOXES, ETC.
MUST HAVE YOUR OWN TOOLS AND BE OPEN TO WORKING IN A COLD ROOM ENVIRONMENT.
PAYS $30.80.
SHIFTS: MON-FRI 5AM-3PM 5AM-5PM AND 5PM-5AM ON A 4334 SCHEDULE.
Job Responsibilities:
Ensures operation of electrical and mechanical machinery and equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements on pumps, motors, hydraulics, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications.
Performs industrial maintenance functions in installation, preventative maintenance, repair, modification, and improvement of a wide variety of equipment.
Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment including welders, lathe, and mill.
Troubleshoots manufacturing equipment including grinders, stuffers, and meat pumps and packaging equipment including Multivacs, slicer, and metal detectors.
Assists production in setup and tear down of equipment.
Performs other tasks as assigned by management.
Follow safe working procedures in accordance with the safety policies of the Knoxville plant.
Follow food safety procedures in accordance with the food safety policies of the Knoxville plant.
Qualifications:
Qualified candidates will have either previous relevant experience as an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, or related field, or training at an accredited technical school.
Strong problem solving and decision making skills.
Ability to work in a team environment on a variety of complex projects.
Well-developed interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills.
Preferred:
Welding and working with food processing equipment.
Working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
