Job Summary:

The Inventory Specialist is responsible for accurately managing and maintaining inventory levels across the organization’s manufacturing and warehouse operations. This role ensures materials, components, and finished goods are properly tracked, stored, and documented to support production schedules, customer orders, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and experience in industrial or manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain accurate inventory records of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods using ERP/WMS systems.

Conduct regular cycle counts, physical inventories, and reconciliations to ensure accuracy.

Monitor stock levels, identify shortages or overages, and coordinate replenishment or disposal actions.

Collaborate with production, purchasing, and warehouse teams to ensure materials are available for manufacturing schedules.

Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical counts and system records.

Assist in developing and implementing inventory control policies, procedures, and best practices.

Generate inventory reports and provide analysis on stock trends, turnover, and variances.

Support audits by providing documentation and maintaining compliance with company and regulatory standards.

Ensure proper storage, labeling, and organization of materials in the warehouse.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, or related field preferred.

2+ years of experience in inventory management, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.

Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and MS Excel.

Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials handling, and warehouse operations is a plus.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and carry materials up to 40 lbs.

Frequent standing, walking, and occasional bending or reaching.

Comfortable working in warehouse or production floor environments.
