Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist The staff psychologist selects and administers a variety of psychological tests to children from 2 – 18 years of age based upon patient case history, intake appointments with parents of patients, and testing objectives. The staff psychologist position provides the opportunity to serve pediatric patients through the Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics Section of the Department of Pediatrics at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist. We are a strictly outpatient, ambulatory clinic. Job Summary : The staff psychologist will administer assessment measures of development/cognition, adaptive functioning, autism, and common co-occurring conditions and rule-outs in order to provide supportive feedback for individuals and their families around strengths and needs for support. Education/Experience : Minimum: master's degree in Psychology (school, clinical, or related). Eighteen months of clinical experience in psychological assessment with a pediatric population. LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, And/or REGISTRATION : Licensure in North Carolina as a Psychological Associate or Licensed Psychologist is
preferred . Essential Functions : Planning psychological assessment batteries based on intake interviews with parents, record review, and case history. Administering psychological and developmental tests. Interpreting test results. Consulting with multidisciplinary team members in the department as necessary. Preparing written narrative reports of diagnostic findings. Making recommendations based on test results. Communicating results of psychological assessment to parents. Skills/Qualifications : Ability to relate expressively and dynamically with other people. Ability to prepare professional narrative reports. Ability to explain test results to parents with professional clarity.
