Echo/Vascular Sonographer at Lake Mary Hospital – Part-time Department: LMH Non Invasive Cardiology Status: Part-time (2 x 12 hour shifts a week) Title: Echo Vascular Sonographer III Location: Orlando Health Lake Mary Hospital, Lake Mary, FL The NEW Orlando Health Lake Mary Hospital represents Orlando Health’s continued commitment to the Seminole County community, which we have proudly served for 40 years. As a comprehensive acute care facility, the hospital offers a full scope of medical and surgical services, including cardiovascular, general surgery, orthopedics, and women’s services with labor and delivery, alongside a future NICU. Opening with 124 beds, the 455,000 square foot hospital will be able to expand to up to 240 beds. State-of-the-art facilities include operating rooms, catheterization labs, interventional radiology, a vascular lab, an ICU and a full-service emergency department. Position Summary

Provides quality patient care when performing diagnostic cardiology and/or vascular sonographic imaging and related procedures to demonstrate anatomy for interpretation and/or intervention under the supervision of the department supervisor, manager, or director. Responsibilities

Demonstrates competency in routine noninvasive and/or invasive cardiology and/or vascular ultrasound diagnostics, and equipment operation and maintenance. Leads others in complex problem solving. Interprets internal/external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes, or services. Works independently with guidance in only the most complex situations. Performs noninvasive and/or invasive cardiology and/or vascular diagnostic sonographic exams, and functions independently in the absence of supervision when appropriate. Maintains quality control standards and participates in quality improvement initiatives. Ensures accurate patient identification, clinical history, and documentation. Operates ultrasound equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images and assists with interpretation as needed. Communicates effectively with the healthcare team and participates in patient education and safety practices. Adheres to all state and federal regulations applicable to each modality and to Orlando Health policies. Maintains attendance and a professional demeanor aligned with hospital standards. Qualifications

Education/Training:

Graduate of an accredited school of sonography. Meets education/training requirements under ARDMS and/or CCI guidelines as applicable to the assigned department. Licensure/Certification:

Maintain current BLS/HealthCare Provider certification. Must maintain one of the following: RDMS in fetal echocardiography or RDCS; or RCS/ACS/RCCS or RVT/RVS through CCI/ARDMS as appropriate. Experience:

Minimum of two (2) years’ experience. Ability to perform routine Echocardiography and/or Vascular ultrasound exams and demonstrate competency in a broad range of exams relevant to the department’s needs. Benefits / Top Reasons to Choose Orlando Health – Lake Mary
