Overview

Physician - Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, Glaucoma Division (Open Rank/Track Faculty). Full-time faculty position in the Glaucoma division within the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Academic rank and track commensurate with academic record and experience. Position involves patient care, research, and education, primarily in OSU multi-specialty medical office buildings and surgical suites in the Columbus metro area. Participation in coverage at Columbus VA is also required. Responsibilities

Provide clinical patient care in glaucoma, with or without trainee involvement as appropriate. Engage in academic activities including teaching, research/scholarship, curriculum development, quality improvement, and education initiatives as aligned with the faculty assignment. Participate in clinical service at OSUWMC facilities and other assigned clinical sites, and contribute to divisional/departmental/college committees. Collaborate on clinical care, research projects, and educational programs; pursue opportunities for scholarly work consistent with the faculty assignment. Engage in opportunities to contribute to resident, fellow, and medical student education. Participate in coverage at Columbus VA as required. Qualifications

Applicants must be board-eligible or board-certified in Ophthalmology by the time of appointment and eligible for licensure in the State of Ohio. MD or DO degree required; completion of an approved Ophthalmology residency program. Subspecialty training in a Glaucoma fellowship is required. Due to contractual agreements with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, U.S. citizenship is required for participation in this role. Academic rank and salary commensurate with experience and credentials. Knowledge and proficiency in medical and surgical management of Glaucoma. Evidence of scholarship and discovery through basic and/or clinical research and publications. Commitment to education of residents, fellows, and medical students. How To Apply
