mitral valve and structural heart surgery, TAVR, TEVAR, and ventricular assist devices —someone ready to take on complex cases and push the boundaries of excellence in patient care. leading the way in innovative care 500-600 major cardiac procedures annually —and growing, thanks to expanding programs in valve repair/replacement, minimally invasive surgery, TAVR, and LVAD 3-star STS rating in CABG quality
for 10 of the last 12 years Dedicated multidisciplinary programs , including: Thoracic oncology collaboration with our cancer center Vascular surgery expertise for TEVAR and complex hybrid aortic procedures A new, state-of-the-art Steven D. Bell Family Heart & Vascular Center

Education/Experience:
BC/BE Cardiothoracic Surgeon (must be BC if out of training more than 5 years), will have an unrestricted NC medical license and DEA, obtain medical staff privileges and credentialing, and meet other employment requirements. The ideal candidate will perform both cardiac and/or thoracic procedures, combine solid training and experience with an excellent bedside manner, and be committed to providing patient-focused care. Board Certification and Licensure:
Fully licensed to practice medicine in the state of NC. Meets Moses Cone Health System Medical Staff bylaws and obtains appropriate level of medical staff privileges. Current and valid DEA registration with no involuntary limitations on prescriptive authority. Maintain professional liability insurance as required by the Moses Cone Health System Medical Executive Committee and Board of Trustees. Experience/Certification : Completed appropriate residency training (and fellowship training as required). Board certification recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties or the American Osteopathic Association in the primary specialty or subspecialty. Education
Required: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from a medical school recognized by the North Carolina Medical Board. Equivalents from other countries are acceptable if recognized by the NC Medical Board. Equal Opportunity
