The primary functions of a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) are to facilitate the development of social competencies and the overall emotional growth of children, youth, and young adults aged 3-21. The goal is to help the child achieve maximum functioning while preventing out-of-home or alternative school placements. BHT services are provided to children diagnosed with psychiatric conditions who exhibit significant social, emotional, developmental, or behavioral challenges. Services are tailored to the child's strengths, aiming to build competencies for success in social, family, and community settings. A key objective is to foster meaningful community connections to enhance resiliency and long-term benefits. Interventions may include therapeutic, supportive, and skill-building activities, delivered in various settings such as home, community, or school, adopting an eco-systemic approach. The BHT collaborates with families and community resources to transfer skills and strategies, working with all involved to support the child's development. Minimum Job Requirements: Education/Experience: Provision of behavioral health services: 2 years (required) Certification as a BCA, BA, RBT, BCAT, or a behavioral health/behavior analysis certification Alternatively, a high school diploma with a completed 40-hour training covering the RBT Task List, evidenced by a certification including the trainer's name, who must be a BCBA or BCABA Job Type: Full-time Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
