NUCLEAR RADIOLOGIST/NUCLEAR MEDICINE PHYSICIAN MOFFITT CANCER CENTER FACULTY POSITION: NUCLEAR RADIOLOGIST/NUCLEAR MEDICINE PHYSICIAN. Moffitt Cancer Center’s Department of Diagnostic Imaging & Interventional Radiology invites applications for a faculty appointment in the Nuclear Medicine Department. Our preferred candidate is an academically accomplished nuclear radiologist/nuclear medicine physician for a position in our large and growing section which includes both diagnostic and therapeutic responsibilities. About the Department
Moffitt Cancer Center’s Department of Diagnostic Imaging & Interventional Radiology currently includes 60 clinical faculty members. The department operates 11 CT, 14 MRI, 5 PET/CT, 4 SPECT/CT, 5 gamma cameras, along with a robust radionuclide therapy program. Faculty members from the section participate in 17 disease-focused multidisciplinary clinical conferences each week. We are a hybrid academic practice affiliated with the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine with university academic appointments available. A large number of research and teaching opportunities are available. All investigator-initiated clinical trials at Moffitt include a radiologist as co-investigator. The Imaging Research program receives about $7 million per year in NIH funding and includes 1400 sq. ft. of wet lab space, a full animal imaging suite, and sophisticated image analytic and mathematical modeling capabilities. Dedicated academic time is provided and PhD-level scientists are employed by the department to assist the clinical faculty in their research efforts. Responsibilities
Provide diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine services as part of an active Nuclear Medicine Department. Qualifications
MD/DO degree, Florida medical license or eligibility Board certified in Nuclear Radiology/Nuclear Medicine or eligible Completed fellowship in Radiology subspecialty area Compensation & Benefits
