Position Summary
The Medical Biller will be responsible for supporting legacy accounts receivable (A/R) recovery, claim reconciliation, and collections follow-up for Interventional Cardiology practice. This role requires expertise in eClinicalWorks (eCW), payer policies, and cardiology-specific coding and billing practices. The biller will ensure timely and accurate claim submission, denial management, and payment posting in alignment with HCRS’ recovery objectives. Key Responsibilities
Perform A/R follow-up on outstanding claims, prioritizing high-value and time-sensitive accounts. Submit, correct, and resubmit claims through eCW and payer portals. Identify, track, and resolve denials and underpayments, escalating as needed. Reconcile payments against contracts and fee schedules; flag variances. Assist in backlog clean-up for Nurse Practitioner (NP) and physician claims. Maintain accurate billing notes and status updates for weekly reporting. Communicate with payers, clearinghouses, and internal staff to resolve claim issues. Adhere to HIPAA, confidentiality, and eCW security requirements. Qualifications
5+ years of medical billing experience; cardiology or specialty practice experience strongly preferred. Proficiency in eClinicalWorks (eCW) required. Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS, and payer-specific claim requirements. Experience with denial management, appeals, and collections recovery. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently in a remote environment with accountability to deadlines. National recognized industry certification preferred.
