Telemetry RN Job Details – Norfolk, VA
Position Type: Travel/Locum Tenens Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Telemetry Nursing (TELE) Unit: Medicine Unit 2 Location: Norfolk, Virginia 23507 Start Date: August 10, 2025 End Date: October 12, 2025 Contract Duration: 9 weeks Shift: 12-hour night shifts Hours per Week: 36 Estimated Weekly Salary: $1770 - $1820
Registered Nurse Qualifications
Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license – Virginia or compact state At least 1 year of recent Telemetry RN experience BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred) Ability to work 12-hour night shifts in a hospital setting Excellent communication and critical thinking skills Experience in Medicine, Same Day Surgery, Detox, Bone Marrow Transplant, Mental Health, or IDD units is a plus
Telemetry RN Responsibilities
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and vital signs for Telemetry patients Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic health record Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and health management Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate nursing interventions
