One year phlebotomy experience preferred
One year supervisory experience in a Clinical Laboratory preferred
Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology form an approved School of Medical Laboratory Technology preferred
Current Clinical Laboratory Scientist –Technician license issued by the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners preferred
Or current Phlebotomy license issued by the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners preferred

What You Will Do As a Laboratory Supervisor, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our lab services, ensuring consistent workflow, quality, and compliance. You’ll lead and support phlebotomy and accessioning teams while managing scheduling, supply ordering, and operational improvements. You will serve as a leader for your team, developing performance standards and fostering continuous education. This role is essential to ensuring accurate diagnostics and timely lab services for patient care.
Essential Job Functions
Participates in the development of departmental goals and objectives.
Demonstrates effectiveness in supervising assigned staff.
Coordinates the daily activities of the assigned work area.
Demonstrates effectiveness in monitoring the daily activities of the department.
Supervises daily operations and staff in phlebotomy and accessioning.
Validates and monitors staff competency and job performance.
Perform other duties as assigned.
