Work assignments, modalities, days, times, and locations vary. The School has clinical instructional opportunities for well-qualified nurse educators Tuesday through Sunday – morning, afternoon, and evening – in our expanding undergraduate program. Candidates must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

Description What you’ll do and what you’ll bring:
Part-time, contract faculty member with appropriate nursing specialization to teach in undergraduate and/or graduate courses.
Work assignments, days, times, modalities, and locations vary.
Faculty responsibilities include teaching in classroom, clinical, and/or simulation environments in baccalaureate courses for adult health, medical-surgical, psychiatric mental health, pediatrics, critical care, childbearing families, and other courses as appropriate; and/or teaching in the Family Nurse Practitioner, Educator, and/or Administrator Track of the MS in Nursing program.
Duties and Responsibilities
Teach in classroom, clinical, and/or simulation environments in baccalaureate courses and/or teach in the online MS in Nursing program.
Keep abreast of recent developments in nursing and incorporate into teaching.
Actively contribute to the professional life of the School of Nursing, the College of Health, and Ball State University.
Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university by the date of appointment
Clinical nursing experience in area of teaching
Ability to communicate effectively
Ability to use and integrate technology in nursing education
Preferred Qualifications
Teaching experience in higher education
Earned doctorate in nursing or related field from an accredited college or university
Current clinical practice as an NP
Required Certifications/Licensures
Current unencumbered State of Indiana Registered Nurse License by date of appointment
National certification as an NP (if teaching in the FNP track of the MS program)
