— Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital Heart Institute, St. Petersburg, Florida. The Division of Cardiac Critical Care Medicine at the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Heart Institute in St. Petersburg, Florida seeks an additional BC/BE Pediatric Critical Care Medicine or Pediatric Cardiology applicant for a position within the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit in support of our growing program. Our division staffs a 22-bed Cardiovascular ICU with eight division members and supports ACGME-approved fellowship training programs in Pediatric Critical Care, Pediatric Cardiology, and Neonatology. In addition to providing comprehensive pediatric and congenital cardiac surgical care, The Heart Institute and the CVICU supports an active mechanical circulatory support (both ECMO and VAD) program along with the highest-volume pediatric heart transplantation program in South Florida over the last decade. — Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital (JHACH) is a 259-bed teaching hospital, ranked as a U.S. News & World Report Best Children’s Hospital in 6 pediatric specialties (2024-2025) including cardiology and heart surgery. We have also been ranked again as the #1 Children’s Hospital in Florida. JHACH is the only US hospital outside the Baltimore/Washington, D.C. location that is part of the Johns Hopkins Medicine system. Qualifications
Preferred candidates will be BC/BE in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine or Pediatric Cardiology and have completed advanced training in Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care (through BC/BE fellowship training in both Pediatric Cardiology and Pediatric Critical Care, or by completion of an advanced Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care Fellowship). Preferred candidates will also demonstrate a track record of excellence in clinical care, graduate medical education or research and possess outstanding leadership skills. Qualified candidates will join a team that includes eight pediatric cardiac intensivists, three pediatric cardiac surgeons, twenty pediatric cardiologists, three pediatric cardiac anesthesiologists, and a team of advanced practice providers. The CVICU supports a robust education program, and care is provided with dedicated Pharmacy and Nutrition services. The CVICU includes two cardiac operating rooms and two procedural suites adjacent to the unit, along with a 22-bed admission-to-discharge CVICU. Intensive care facilities also include a 28-bed PICU and a 97-bed Level IV NICU. Faculty and opportunities
