Founded in 1967, The HealthCare Connection was Ohio’s first Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). Our mission is to provide quality, culturally sensitive, and accessible primary healthcare services focusing on the medically underserved, underinsured, and uninsured. THCC is recognized as a Level 3 Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH).
We operate two primary care locations and six school‑based health centers, providing quality value‑based care for over 20,000 patients, including Dental Services.
Position Summary
Are you a dental professional passionate about providing high‑quality care to your community? We are seeking a Dental Assistant with a professional demeanor and exceptional customer‑service skills to join our Mt. Healthy and Lincoln Heights Health Center locations. This role supports dental operations and delivers a positive, comfortable patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare treatment rooms and patients for procedures
Provide chairside assistance to the dentist, dental hygienist, and/or EFDA
Record exam findings and maintain accurate documentation
Monitor sterilization cycles and follow infection‑control protocols
Maintain inventory of dental supplies and ensure clinical readiness
Support patient flow and clinic operations
Assist with various dental procedures as needed
Qualifications
High‑school diploma or GED (required)
Ohio Radiographer’s License (required)
Certification in Dental Assisting or equivalent on‑the‑job training
Current CPR certification (or ability to obtain)
Familiarity with dental and infection‑control standards
Excellent communication with diverse populations
Strong organizational skills and willingness to learn electronic dental record systems
Team‑oriented, flexible, and open to supervision
