Overview
Child Care, School Age Site Coordinator. 32 hour, split shift work week. Split Shifts before and after school hours in Bettendorf and Pleasant Valley Elementary Schools. Salary: $16.00/hour. The Site Coordinator is responsible for the health, safety, and welfare of each child enrolled in the program and for supervising all group leaders at their assigned sites. The Child Care Site Coordinator is a leader who actively participates in activities and is a positive role model to all participants and staff. Schedule
Bettendorf Elementary Schools: Split Shift. Mornings: 6:30am to 8:05am M-F; Afternoons: 3:15pm to 6:00pm M/T/Th/F; 1:45 pm to 6:00 pm W. PV Elementary Schools: Split Shift. Mornings: 6:30am to 8:05am M-F; Afternoons: 2:45pm to 6:00pm M-F and every other W 1:15pm to 6:00 pm. Responsibilities
Provide a warm and caring atmosphere for children in program. Directly responsible for planning and organizing all daily activities; ensure activities are developmentally appropriate for the age of the children. Provide direction and supervision to group leaders assigned to your site as well as program participants at all times. This includes taking calls related to staff absences and assisting in finding substitutes. Communicate with the parents through daily drop-off and pick-up. Must be able to pick up afternoon snacks at the Early Learning Center and deliver them to your assigned site. Ensure the work site is clean and a safe environment. Prepare incident reports accurately, consistently and in accordance with established timelines. Qualifications
Must be able to obtain CPR/AED/FA certification (classes provided through the YMCA) and pass a state mandated background check for child care workers. Must be 18 and able to meet the 75 point criteria for a Site Coordinator per the State of Iowa licensed child care regulations. This is a combination of education, experience and training. Benefits
