Flexible work arrangements, including remote/hybrid work locations, are part of the School of Medicine’s Working Forward initiative. The position is designated as Hybrid and may change with unit needs. Assignment not to exceed 5 years. The Population Group seeks a full-time nurse-interviewer for the Carolina Breast Cancer Study Phase 4 (CBCS4). Duties include traveling to participants’ homes, obtaining informed consents, conducting research interviews, and completing study assessments such as measurements and blood draws. The nurse-interviewer must strictly adhere to study protocols. The study aims to recruit 3,000 participants randomly selected from cases submitted by the Central Cancer Registry. The nurse-interviewer will conduct in-home visits at times convenient for participants and may include evenings and weekends. After each visit, collected specimens should be delivered to the UNC Biospecimen Processing Facility, in-person or by protocol-approved means. The nurse-interviewer is also expected to travel to Chapel Hill once a week to pick up and return study materials from the CBCS4 office. Additional responsibilities include: This position may assist with cleaning, coding, and entering study data in data management systems. Participate in the collection and tracking of medical record and tumor block releases for subjects treated in studies within the Population Group. Gather, clean, and enter medical record provider information into data management systems. Identify and disseminate information to study participants regarding local community resources and research on additional beneficial resources. Track participants who are lost to contact and coordinate with study coordinators to complete this task. Requirements

include residence in the greater Charlotte, NC region due to participant distribution and travel up to 160 miles to homes and to Chapel Hill, NC; NC nursing license; and adherence to best practices and regulations related to the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina and two years of experience in the area of specialization. Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience:

Residence in the greater Charlotte, NC region is required due to participant distribution. Must have reliable transportation and ability to travel up to 160 miles to participants’ homes and to Chapel Hill, NC. BSN degree/NC nursing license and diligent adherence to SARS-CoV-2 regulations are required. Extraordinary organization and time-management skills are essential. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to work with the study team and participants. Ability to work independently and in a team is critical for the Population Group studies. Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience:

Prior experience with diverse patient populations or large epidemiology/cancer research studies involving human subjects and specimen collection. Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and strong investigative/analytic skills. Campus Security Authority Responsibilities:
