Job Details
13-week travel assignment for operating room RN.

Required Qualifications
One year recent experience as an operating room RN.
Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
Preferred Qualifications
ACLS (AHA/ARC), PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC certifications.
OR Nursing Certification (CNOR).
Other certifications and licenses may be required.
Summary The Operating Room Registered Nurse provides comprehensive patient care throughout the perioperative process, ensuring safety, comfort, and high quality collaboration with the surgical team.
Essential Work Functions
Prepare the operating room, ensuring instruments and supplies are ready.
Assist in positioning and preparing patients for surgery, maintaining comfort and safety.
Maintain a sterile field and adhere to infection control protocols.
Anticipate surgical team needs, providing instruments and supplies promptly.
Monitor patient condition during surgery, documenting changes and notifying surgeon.
Handle surgical instruments and supplies, ensuring proper use and sterilization.
Manage specimen collection, labeling, and transport.
Document all patient care accurately and thoroughly.
Participate in patient handoff communication pre- and post-operation.
Assist in cleaning and restocking operating room between cases.
Collaborate with surgical team to ensure compliance with policies.
Follow hospital safety rules, including use of PPE and infection prevention.
Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice.
Required Essential Skills
Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication.
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
Proficiency in PC skills.
Physical abilities: remain stationary, move equipment 50–100lbs, push, pull, bend.
Interpersonal skills: work effectively with professional and ancillary personnel.
Technical/motor skills: perform fine manipulation, push/pull, assist with procedures.
Mental requirements: cope with frequent public contact, meet deadlines, work under supervision.
Sensory: visual acuity and effective communication.
