Spectra Tech is looking for a QC Chemist in Memphis, TN. Responsibilities
Performing Chemical Analysis: Conduct tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to verify they meet established specifications. This includes using analytical techniques such as chromatography (HPLC, GC), spectroscopy (UV-Vis, IR), and titration. Operating and Maintaining Lab Equipment: Set up, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments to ensure accurate and precise results. Documentation and Reporting: Meticulously recording all test data, observations, and results. Troubleshooting: Identify and investigate deviations from standard procedures or unexpected test results, including out-of-specification (OOS) results. Adhering to Safety and Compliance: Follow strict safety protocols and industry regulations such as Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Qualifications
Bachelor\'s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or a related field Experience: 0-2 years of experience in a laboratory setting Technical skills: Strong knowledge of organic, inorganic, and physical chemistry is essential; Proficient in laboratory techniques, analytical instrumentation, and data analysis software; Instrumental analysis with core lab instruments like HPLC, GC, and spectrometers; Wet chemistry with titration and gravimetric analysis; Data analysis using statistical software and Microsoft Office
