Summary: APRN / PA-C - Malignant Hematology - Outpatient based in the Malignant Hematology (Mal Heme) Department. This outpatient Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant role provides patient care under the Moffitt Medical Group (MMG) and supports the academic medical enterprise; contributing to cancer prevention and cure. Assists physicians with evaluation, management and treatment of a wide spectrum of patients with different medical problems, procedures and co-morbidities. Works within a defined scope of practice and under the supervision of physicians or by specific protocol(s). The Ideal Candidate

Provides patient care as a member of an interdisciplinary team, coordinating and optimizing patient care with many specialists. Correlates subjective and objective data to formulate a differential or working diagnosis. Formulates treatment plans for medical conditions within scope of practice. Performs minor surgical procedures within scope of practice where applicable. Prescribes oral and IV medications within scope of practice. Documents patient care in accordance with medical staff rules. Credentials And Qualifications
Bachelor's degree minimum; master's degree preferred. Graduate of an accredited Advanced Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant program. Active FL medical license (or ability to obtain) and national certification as appropriate. Active BLS and ACLS. Experience in oncology or internal medicine; prior specific oncology experience preferred.
