The Department of Nursing is seeking a Staff Nurse (RN) for the Adult Neurology/Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (2BT). The unit is part of UI Health Care's Intensive and Specialty Services (ISS) division. A Staff Nurse will assess patients\' nursing care needs, evaluate the effectiveness of care provided, and integrate nursing theory and research into clinical practice. 2BT is a 9-bed acute adult unit for patients with epilepsy, headache/facial pain, multiple sclerosis, immune-suppressed neuropathies, and movement disorders. It features state-of-the-art video-monitoring and video EEG used on the unit. Position Details

Shift differentials for evening, night, and weekend shifts. Inpatient differential of $10,000 per year based on percent time Benefits

An Associate’s Degree in Nursing, a Diploma in Nursing, a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing, Professional Masters of Nursing and Healthcare Practice (MNHP), MSN/Clinical Nurse Leader or a Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN, MA) is required Experience and Certifications

Current license to practice nursing in Iowa is required by date of hire Excellent written and verbal communication skills; interpersonal skills with patients/families, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members General computer skills Desirable Qualifications

Baccalaureate Degree or Master\'s Degree in Nursing is highly desired Active enrollment in a BSN program is desirable if not yet obtained Telemetry experience is desirable Knowledge of University policies and procedures Application and Additional Information
