Travel Nurse Job Details
Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1700-$1820
Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 11/17/2025 – End: 2/16/2026)
Healthcare Setting: Ambulatory Operating Room (Rutledge Tower – 9 ORs)
Shift Options: Day shifts – 4x10‑hour (6:30am – 5:00pm) or 3x12‑hour (6:30am – 7:00pm), Monday through Friday
Hours per Week: 40
Weekend/Holiday: No weekends, no major holidays, no call required
Floating: Possible within perioperative facility
Orientation: 16 hours of in‑person orientation and 4 hours of online modules
Registered Nurse Qualifications
Active South Carolina RN license or Compact Nursing License (must be valid before start date)
Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room Registered Nurse experience
Previous travel nursing experience required
BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
Proficiency in surgical specialties: Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, ENT, GYN, GU, Endocrine, Surgical Oncology, Plastics, Robotics, and Total Joints
Experience with Epic charting system
Radiation badge (provided by employer)
Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
First‑time travelers not accepted
Local candidates accepted (within 50‑mile radius)
Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities
Circulate and/or scrub in a variety of surgical procedures, including joint replacements, arthroscopies, plastics, surgical oncology, endocrine, ENT, OMFS, adult dental, ophthalmology, minimally invasive surgery, GU, GYN, pain, and colorectal cases
Ensure compliance with infection control, fire safety, and radiation safety protocols
Operate specialized OR equipment: lasers, mini C‑arm, video towers, arthroscopy towers, suction/smoke evacuation systems, beach chair bed attachments, Allen stirrups
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams such as respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and interpretation services
Float within the perioperative facility as needed
Precept and mentor care team members in the operating room
Participate in emergency response teams during hurricane season (June–November)
