Overview Join our team as a Relief Pharmacy Cashier at Rosewood Family Health Center in Portland, OR. We are a healthcare organization focused on community health with a wide range of services.

Position Highlights: $19.91-$24.38 DOE with the ability to go higher for highly experienced candidates. Business hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 6:00 pm.

What You’ll Do

Answer the phone, handle non-professional inquiries, and transfer calls to appropriate staff.

Enter patient data and billing information in the system (patient name, insurance, allergies, doctor, diagnosis).

Deliver prescriptions to patients, verifying correct medication is provided; collect payment and signature from the patient.

Coordinate prescription counseling with the Pharmacist as needed.

Monitor stock levels and enter restock orders based on defined minimum inventory levels; verify quantity and submit order to the wholesaler.

Verify orders received with invoices and purchase orders; label items and shelve accordingly.

Monitor expiration dates on drugs in stock; return or discard dispensed prescriptions not picked up; enter reverse billing information as allowed by state regulations.

Perform clinical responsibilities in alignment with The Joint Commission (TJC), Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), and YVFWC requirements.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED.

Bilingual proficiency in English/Spanish preferred; ability to communicate at level 9 on the ALTA scale for bilingual differential pay.

Effective verbal and listening communication skills with a customer-oriented approach.

Knowledge of medical terminology.

Ability to perform administrative tasks (phones, filing, faxing, scanning, copying).

Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment; strong attention to detail.

Basic proficiency with computer systems including Microsoft Office; basic knowledge of at least one pharmacy software system preferred.

Pre-employment drug screen after extending a conditional offer of employment.
