Our Client, a Medical Research company, is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist for their Clifton, NJ location. Responsibilities:

Follow laboratory procedures for specimen handling, test analyses, reporting, and record maintenance. Ensure proficiency testing samples are tested consistently with patient specimens. Analyze specimens using approved testing procedures as per SOPs. Review and release test results. Adhere to CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety guidelines. Maintain records of quality control activities, calibrations, and maintenance. Follow policies when test systems deviate from performance standards. Identify and address problems affecting test performance or reporting. Document corrective actions for deviations. Report STAT or Critical results promptly. Respond to inquiries from customers or lab personnel as needed. Keep comprehensive records of all testing activities. Maintain the department's appearance and organization. Manage reagents/test kits, noting received, expiration, and opened dates. Review and train on new procedures. Participate in departmental meetings and training sessions. Assist with regulatory inspections when required. Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor. Requirements:

Strong understanding of basic laboratory testing, with good computer skills and adaptability to multiple systems. Knowledge of QC and QA, and familiarity with all laboratory areas. BS in Medical Technology preferred; or BS/BA in Chemistry or Biology; or an Associate's degree in Laboratory Science or Medical Technology; or previous qualification as a Technologist under 42 CFR 493.1433. Foreign educated candidates must provide credential evaluation from IERF. U.S. educated candidates must submit original transcripts. Eligibility for national certification as MT/MLT from recognized organizations (ASCP or AMT). Preferred: 1 year of clinical experience in high-complexity testing. Minimum: 1 year of experience in a clinical laboratory performing highly complex tests, with a BS/BA in Chemistry or Biology. Maintain required state and national licensure. Why Should You Apply?
