Job Description UW Health in northern Illinois seeks a BE/BC Non‑Invasive Cardiologist to join our group as we continue to grow in exciting new directions. Our cardiology team is known for being the preferred group for cardiac services in northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin. We are at the forefront of cardiovascular innovation and are proud to offer advanced procedures and treatments to our patients.
Clinical Support
Dedicated UW Health Heart Hospital, with non‑invasive lab for echocardiograms, TEE’s, tilt table and stress tests
Participation in the growth and development of new procedures and cardiac treatments, including CardioMEMS and Watchman, with plans to expand into TAVR
APP support to streamline workflow and patient management
Large built‑in referral base from over 100 primary care providers in our medical group
Opportunities to work with medical students and family medicine residents, as well as an academic appointment with the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford
Excellent tertiary specialty support from University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health
Education and Qualifications
MD or DO – Required
Active DEA license or ability to apply prior to or upon hire – Required
Active Illinois medical license – Required
Board Certification or Board Eligible in Cardiology – Required (or within 5 years of certification)
Bi‑annual CPR certification – Preferred
