In the Perinatology team\'s Maternal-Fetal Medicine Sonographer role, you will conduct diagnostic imaging studies in all trimesters, including first trimester dating and early anatomic assessments, detailed second and third trimester assessments, fetal echocardiography, growth assessments, Doppler studies, and transvaginal ultrasound. You will work directly and exclusively with perinatologists in a high‑quality independent fetal imaging center, providing ultrasound services while maintaining and enhancing your ultrasound skills. Protocols follow the standards established by the AIUM. Responsibilities

Check equipment and accessories to ensure proper working order and notify appropriate personnel for repairs. Performs duties in the best interest of patients, personnel, and the facility as assigned; participate in the modality-specific QA/QC program and ensure regulatory compliance. Evaluate patient history and symptoms for procedure criteria and communicate clearly and professionally with patients and/or family regarding tests; assess patient tolerance for exams. Demonstrate and maintain current knowledge, continued education, and skills to provide appropriate care for the following age groups: newborn, pediatric, young adult, adult, and geriatric as applicable to the department. Assist the physician in performing additional imaging or biopsy procedures as needed. Model and exhibit proficiency in MFM Ultrasound Technician III competencies; perform procedures accurately and in a timely manner according to age-specific criteria. Complete exam charges and image documentation; forward to radiologist in a timely manner. Other duties as assigned. Experience and Education

Associates Degree in Ultrasound Technology or graduate of an Accredited Sonography Program (required). High School Diploma/GED (required). Current American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) Registry (required). BLS Accreditation by the American Heart Association (AHA) (required). Proficiency in the MFM Ultrasound Technician III competencies (required). Preferred

Two (2) years of ultrasound experience (preferred). Nuchal Translucency (NT) Certification (preferred). Bachelor’s degree (preferred). Competencies

Medical terminology, basic anatomy and physiology. Diagnostic imaging studies in all trimesters, including dating, anatomy, growth, Doppler, and transvaginal ultrasound. Multiple ultrasound modalities: transabdominal, transvaginal, multiplanar imaging, and Doppler. Screening and diagnostic obstetric ultrasounds across all trimesters, including first trimester dating and aneuploidy screening, detailed second trimester anatomy, and third trimester surveillance. Advanced fetal imaging: genetic sonograms, multiplanar imaging, post-processing, Doppler for various indications, fetal echocardiography, and multiple gestations. Invasive testing imaging support (e.g., genetic amniocentesis) and minimal gynecologic ultrasound relevant to pregnancy. Adherence to AIUM and other accredited obstetric imaging protocol standards.
