Spring Mountain Treatment Center Spring Mountain Sahara is currently seeking a dynamic professional to join our team as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). The CNA is the clinical staff member who interacts with patients daily, with strong communication and observation skills, and the ability to accurately process and document information. The CNA provides structure and safety in the milieu environment as directed by hospital and unit procedures and manages patient behavior effectively. The CNA assists and supervises patients in activities of daily living and supports nurses, teachers, activity therapists, and other departments in various activities. They present good communication skills. Responsibilities

Ensure the well-being of patients and provide a positive, supportive and structured environment, under direction of charge nurse or supervisor. Complete patient observation rounds timely. Observations may be assigned every 15 minutes, within reach of patient and/or 1:1 patient care. Assist with transferring, lifting, raising or turning patients. Obtain patient’s vital signs, height and weight as assigned and ensure accurate documentation. Engage with patients in activities and interactions designed to support treatment goals. Apply de-escalation techniques to help manage patient emotions and participation in treatment; assist with seclusion and restraints when necessary. Monitor behavioral improvements and reinforce these behaviors; report changes to the nurse immediately. Reinforce skills patients learn from nurses, physicians and therapists to promote improved physical and mental wellness. Ensure comfort, dignity, privacy and perform related CNA duties such as feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, movement, or changing linens. Provide transfer or transportation for patients or coordinate transportation with appropriate staff when required. Follow established policies, procedures and standards for patient care. Demonstrate a positive, empathetic and professional attitude toward patients; acknowledge and resolve complaints; prioritize patient safety. Spring Mountain Behavioral Services provides mental health services to the Las Vegas community since 2001, treating children, teens, adults and senior adults with behavioral health or addiction issues. We offer a supportive environment with 24-hour care. Our primary location, Spring Mountain Treatment Center, focuses on stabilization of acute symptoms for patients age 5 to 65, with select outpatient care programs for teens. Our secondary location, Spring Mountain Sahara, houses our Adult Outpatient and Senior Adult Inpatient programs.
