Job Opportunity: Self-Motivated Optometrist

Our fully equipped optometric practice features the latest technology, including IPL and radiofrequency for advanced dry eye treatments, and a robust myopia management practice, including Ortho-K. You’ll also have access to a wide selection of frames and eyewear, supported by a dedicated staff.
We take care of all the management aspects, so you can focus on providing exceptional care and growing your patient following. Compensation is 15% of revenue, offering a fantastic growth opportunity. Plus, our great business hours—Monday through Thursday from 9 AM to 5 PM, and Fridays from 8 AM to 2 PM—support a healthy work-life balance.
*Duties*
* Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess vision and detect eye diseases.
* Prescribe glasses, contact lenses, and other visual aids based on patient needs.
* Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for all patient interactions.
* Educate patients on proper eye care practices and the use of prescribed optical devices.
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
* Stay updated on advancements in optometry practices and technologies.
* Manage patient inquiries regarding optical products and services, contributing to sales when applicable.
* Provide pediatric eye care services as needed, ensuring a comfortable experience for younger patients.
*Qualifications*
* Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
* Valid state license to practice optometry.
* Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and medical coding relevant to optometry.
* Myopia Management.
* Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and compliance.
* Experience in patient care with a focus on providing excellent customer service.
* Ability to interpret vital signs and understand their implications for eye health.
* Sales experience in an optical setting is a plus but not required.
* Knowledge of pediatric optometry is advantageous but not mandatory.
