The Laboratory Technician I receives authority from, and is accountable to, the Laboratory Supervisor or appointed designate for the successful completion of assigned duties and responsibilities. The technician may take action necessary to carry out duties and identified quality-system or procedure departures, as long as actions align with established guidelines, sound technical judgment, and laboratory practices. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Demonstrates and promotes the company vision Regular attendance and punctuality Reads, understands and follows management system requirements relevant to responsibilities, including Quality Manual, SOPs, Local Work Instructions and Methods to ensure compliance with ISO/IEC 17025/AOAC ALACC requirements and government regulatory requirements Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations; maintain a clean, safe work environment Register incoming samples as needed; maintain neat and accurate records for quality control or regulatory purposes Enter sample data into the Eurofins eLIMS system accurately and in a timely manner Complete laboratory testing on all incoming samples accurately, efficiently and timely; meet or exceed sample turnaround time goals Verify results and submit to appropriate personnel for transmission promptly Identify process difficulties and report with proposed solutions to supervisor Maintain readiness to respond to client, staff, and co-worker needs Maintain cooperative working relationships and communicate effectively with colleagues Promote ethical business practices and the company image Continually strive to improve the quality of work through existing and new technologies Identify non-conformances and out-of-specifications Conduct activities in a safe and efficient manner Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications
Authorization
to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship Additional preferences: AS or BS Degree in Microbiology, Food Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry or a related field. Experience in plating, plate reading, and sample preparation. Additional Information
