Clinical Laboratory Technologist – Microbiology
LabCorp is seeking an experienced Clinical Laboratory Technologist to join our team in Raritan, NJ. In this role, you will work in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment to support our mission of "Improving Health, Improving Lives".
Key Facts
Pay Range: $28.50 – $39.09 per hour
Work Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday, 11:30 PM – 8:00 AM

401(k) plan (for Job Duties / Responsibilities
Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures.
Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
Make technical decisions regarding testing and problem‑solving.
Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents or controls.
Report accurate and timely test results to deliver quality patient care.
Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures.
Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary.
Assist with specimen processing when needed.
Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Biological Science, Chemical Science, or a comparable field that meets CLIA & State requirements.
Minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory testing experience or an MLS degree.
Preferred experience in microbiology in a clinical or reference laboratory.
Working knowledge of clinical microbiology processes, procedures, and equipment (MALDI‑TOF, VITEK2).
ASCP or AMT certification preferred.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Computer proficiency; familiarity with laboratory information systems a plus.
Strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills.
Pass a standardized color vision screen.
Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts as business needs change.
