Providing speech-language therapy services in an elementary school setting requires specialized skills and compassion. This contract position in Espanola, NM supports K-8 students with speech and language needs by collaborating with a full-time Speech‑Language Pathologist (SLP) onsite to ensure balanced caseloads and effective service delivery.
Responsibilities
Assess and treat speech, language, and communication disorders for students in grades K through 8.
Deliver targeted therapy services two days per week, with consideration for candidates available one day per week.
Collaborate with the full‑time SLP and school personnel to maintain quality care without overburdening staff.
Qualifications
Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) eligibility.
Experience working in school settings with pediatric caseloads, preferably K‑8.
Strong knowledge of pediatric speech‑language pathology within educational environments.
Ability to collaborate effectively with school personnel and support compliance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Commitment to providing compassionate, student‑centered care.
Location: Elementary school in Espanola, NM
Job Type: Contract for the current school year
Schedule: Two days per week preferred; one day considered
