Our mission is: Changing Medicine. Changing Lives. The University of Iowa Health Care's Department of Nursing is seeking a Staff Nurse (RN) for the Adult Acute Care Unit (2JCP). The Adult Acute Care Unit is part of UI Health Care's Medical Surgical Services (MSS) division. The unit is a 30-bed medical-surgical unit serving a variety of patient populations, including Family Medicine and specialized surgical patients (otolaryngology ENT, oral surgery, and plastic reconstructive surgery). The unit provides private rooms to support comfortable experiences for patients and families, and we work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver individualized care plans. Position Details
Percent of Time: 60% Schedule: Weekend Option Location: Iowa City, Iowa Salary: $61,183.00 minimum at 100% effort to commensurate; this does not include differentials and salary varies with experience and percent of effort SEIU Pay Plan: UI Health Care pay plan information available on request Pay Differentials: Evening, night, and weekend shift differentials; premium pay for shifts greater than 4 hours; inpatient differential of $10,000 per year based on 100% time Benefits

An Associate’s Degree in Nursing, Diploma in Nursing, Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing, Professional Master’s of Nursing and Healthcare Practice (MNHP), MSN/Clinical Nurse Leader or a Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN, MA) is required Experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills with patients/families, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members as demonstrated through written and verbal interactions General computer skills are required Certifications
Current license to practice nursing in Iowa is required by date of hire Desirable Qualifications
Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or Master’s Degree in Nursing is highly desired If a Baccalaureate degree in Nursing is not yet obtained, active enrollment in a BSN program is desirable Previous telemetry experience is desired Knowledge of University policies and procedures Application Process
