Locum Tenens Registered Nurse (LTAC) – Evening Shift | Fayetteville, NC. This 13-week travel nursing job offers hands-on experience in rehabilitation and neurosurgery in a LTAC rehab brain surgery unit at a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital in Fayetteville, North Carolina (zip code 28304). The position focuses on delivering high-quality patient care and supporting recovery for adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients. Responsibilities
Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the LTAC rehab brain surgery unit Administer medications, blood products, and manage central lines and ports Conduct patient assessments, develop care plans, and deliver patient education Manage tracheostomy care, feeding tubes, and post-craniotomy care Utilize lift/transfer devices and mobilization techniques for patient safety Monitor and manage seizure disorders, neuromuscular diseases, and traumatic brain injuries Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and social services Float between similar nursing units as needed to support hospital operations Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of recent LTAC or acute rehab RN experience Active Registered Nurse license (state or compact) BLS certification required Epic charting experience required Previous charge nurse experience preferred Ability to float within nursing scope to meet facility needs Not accepting local candidates within 50 miles of Fayetteville campus Must be able to work every other weekend Experience caring for adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients Job Details
