Job Summary and Responsibilities Assess patient/family health problems and resources, taking a leadership role in the development, implementation and outcomes evaluation of a plan for nursing care. Provides professional nursing care and interventions to acutely ill adult patient populations.
Provides comprehensive, safe, and effective, evidence-based nursing care to achieve desired health outcomes for the patient.
Organizes and prioritizes patient care activities balanced with the needs and comfort of the patient.
Demonstrates accountability for own ethical behavior, and supports ethical practice by addressing and/or escalating issues.
Serves as an advocate for patients needs by demonstrating holistic care practices.

Demonstrates the ability to recognize and adapt to changes in patients condition (i.e. Lab, vitals, signs and test values) in a timely and clinically appropriate manner.
Utilizes SBAR format tool to notify physicians, and other providers of clinical findings, performs nurse-to-nurse report at the bedside.
Recognizes limits of scope of practice, seeks multidisciplinary collaboration, utilizes appropriate resources, and follows chain of command.
Partners with others to affect change and generate outcomes through knowledge of the patient or situation.
Delegation – Measurement Method 1 - Leadership Observation/Verbal 2 - Skills/Simulation Lab/Demo 3 - Module/Exam 4 - Peer/Preceptor Evaluation 5 - Client Feedback 6 - Chart Review Delegates tasks based on the needs of the patient, potential for harm, patient stability, task complexity, and outcome predictability within the scope of skill set and practice.
Participates as a team member by utilizing team skills effectively on a daily basis.
Job Requirements Minimum
One year medical/surgical intensive care experience.
AZ RN license or RN License from a Compact State.
ADN, Diploma, BSN, or Foreign Equivalent.
Current American Heart Association BLS card.
ACLS certification within six months of hire.
Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
Basic computer skills.
Preferred
Strong cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring, intra‑aortic balloon pump skills.
One year medical/surgical intensive care experience.
Professional certification in area of specialty.
CCRN
This position will be on call on Monday nights during the week off on Tuesdays and also be required to cover call one weekend (Friday night Saturday and Sunday) every third weekend.
