Job Overview
The Pediatric Hospital Medicine team at BSWH McLane Children's Hospital is seeking a board certified or board eligible PRN Pediatrician for an immediate opening. The selected candidate will provide clinical services in daytime resident service, daytime APP service, and night team. Applicants should have an interest in providing inpatient care to a diverse and complex population of medical and surgical patients. The position offers access to an on‑site PICU and a wide range of pediatric subspecialties, as well as opportunities to participate in medical education, quality improvement, and research.
The role is an employed position with a competitive salary, moving allowance, a comprehensive benefits package, and no state income tax.
Location Baylor Scott & White Health east Texas campus—McLane Children's Hospital located next to a free‑standing Children’s Hospital in Temple, Texas. The hospital includes 112 patient beds, 48 private medical/surgical rooms, 16 private pediatric ICU rooms, a 24‑hour level II pediatric emergency department, and a level IV neonatal ICU.
Responsibilities
Provide clinical services in daytime resident service, daytime APP service, and night team.
Deliver inpatient care to a diverse and complex population of medical and surgical patients.
Participate in medical education, quality improvement, and research initiatives.
Qualifications
Doctorate Degree in Medicine.
Licensed to practice medicine in the state of Texas by the Texas Medical Board.
Board certified in Pediatric (or actively pursuing board certification through the American Board of Medical Specialties or the Bureau of Osteopathic Specialists).
