Cardiac Sonographer role at SSM Health St. Clare Hospital – Fenton, MO. Job Highlights Department: Cardiology Sign On Bonus: $10,000, paid in full on first paycheck Schedule: full-time days Pay Range starts at: $32.48/hour; daily pay available Shift Differentials: available for night, weekend, and additional shifts Location: SSM Health St. Clare Hospital – Fenton, MO Requirements Completion of Cardiac Sonography program ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac sonography Relocation assistance is available for those who qualify Job Summary Performs diagnostic procedures to assess cardiac structures and hemodynamics in accordance with accepted protocols. This position performs either adult or pediatric echocardiography. Job Responsibilities Performs appropriate diagnostic procedures, records patient test results and reports results Monitors patient comfort and safety during tests, alerting physicians to abnormalities or changes in patient responses Maintains supplies and ensures equipment is in proper working condition; reports deficiencies Positions patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately Ensures compliance with regulatory agency standards Ensures prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS Maintains a clean and orderly department (procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage, etc.) Works in a constant state of alertness and safety Performs other duties as assigned Education Completion of an echosonography program Experience No experience required Physical Requirements Constant standing and walking Frequent use of vision and depth perception; frequent hearing and speech for communication Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs; frequent lifting/moving of patients Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs Occasional bending, stooping, squatting, twisting; occasional kneeling and sitting Required Professional Licenses/Certifications Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) – CCI Or Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) – CCI Or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) with Adult Echocardiography (AE) – ARDMS Or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) with Pediatric Echocardiography (PE) – ARDMS Work Shift Day Shift (United States of America) Job Type Employee Department Cardiology – 3003000113 Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 Benefits SSM Health offers a comprehensive benefits package.
