Pay Range: $95,680.00 - $111,918.00 per year

Responsibilities
Provides direct patient care services to individuals with communication and/or swallowing disorders. Coordinates services with other health professionals. May assist in the training and supervision of students.
Delivers effective therapeutic services that are relevant to the population served and remains knowledgeable of current techniques.
Communicates Speech-Language evaluations that identify strengths and needs, in verbal and written form.
Completes basic competencies and meets hospital competency criteria; adheres to department and hospital standards.
Meets productivity demands by seeking opportunities within the department when cancellations, no shows, and low census occur.
Shares information regarding therapy/evaluation techniques and hospital procedures with students, CFYs, and peers.
Participates in department projects aligned with hospital goals and missions.
Raises job-specific concerns and participates in developing solutions.
Provides in-service training to staff and community as requested; complies with state license laws.
Completes written work timely and ensures documentation meets ASHA specifics.
Qualifications
Required:
Master s Degree in Speech Language Pathology
NJ State Speech-Language Pathology License or eligible
Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association or eligible
Speech Correctionist or Speech-Language Specialist Certificate
Member of ASHA
AHA BLS Provider Certification
Evidence of continuing education to meet licensing requirements
Thorough knowledge of the principles and clinical application for diagnosis and management of communication and swallowing disorders
Tact, initiative and judgment in the performance of duties
Completion of the national examination if beginning Clinical Fellowship Year affiliation
Preferred:
Student clinical experience in pediatrics; rehabilitation experience
Knowledge of normal development
Certifications and Licenses Required
NJ State Speech-Language Pathology License or eligible
Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA or eligible
ASHA membership
AHA BLS Provider Certification
