As our Acute Care Physical Therapist at CHI Health CUMC-Bergan Mercy, you will help patients rebuild and maintain their physical wellbeing following illness, injury, or aging. You will use various treatments to reduce pain, build strength, increase range of motion, and develop better balance to keep patients functioning at their best.
Our physical therapists see patients daily for initial evaluations, re-evaluations, or treatments. You will work with a variety of backgrounds—orthopedic injury or surgery recovery, traumatic brain injury, stroke, or conditions affecting balance—to name a few. This environment is busy and fast‑paced but full of collaborative and supportive team members willing to offer help, advice, or mentoring at any time.
Responsibilities
Work with a multidisciplinary team of physicians and therapists to develop and execute a treatment plan for each patient.
Perform initial patient evaluations as well as re-evaluations to indicate the level of progress.
Document all treatments and note any status changes.
Tailor treatments to individual patients as needed—don’t be afraid to think creatively or do a little extra.
Seek new learning opportunities and be a resource when others need to learn from you.
Consistently offer the best care possible to every patient.
What We Offer
Competitive Compensation: $50.00/hour, plus time and a half for holiday work.
Flexible Scheduling: Enjoy a balanced work-life integration with just 2 weekend shifts per month (Saturday or Sunday) and 2 holidays per year.

Job Requirements
Active physical therapy license in the State of NE.
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).

Our full range of medical services includes trauma services, heart and vascular care, emergency services, surgery, maternity, cancer care, and diagnostic imaging.
Pay Range $50.00 – $50.00 /hour
