What you will do in this role:

Observe and maintain a safe milieu through patient checks, safety monitoring, including 15-minute checks, contraband monitoring, condition evaluation, and providing line of sight or one-on-one care as directed.

Follow delegated tasks from the RN, such as vital signs, specimen collection, documentation, group education, and patient monitoring.

Demonstrate effective milieu management skills to promote positive patient experiences.

Assist patients with off-unit activities like meals, breaks, visits, and appointments.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High school diploma preferred.

Experience in psychiatric healthcare, especially with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric, or geriatric patients, preferred.

Valid driver’s license, favorable MVR, and proof of insurance required when using personal or hospital vehicles.

CPR certification and CPI training within 30 days of employment and before patient contact.

Must be at least 21 years old.
