Registered Nurse, Emergency Department Role : Emergency Department RN Employment type : Full-time Schedule : Night shift, 72 hours per pay period About the Department
The Emergency Department at LeConte Medical Center is one of the busiest EDs across Covenant Health facilities. We see approximately 44,500 patients annually, including locals and tourists. The ED has 30 beds, an 8-bed observation center, and 2 triage rooms. The ED team includes RNs, ER Techs, and HUCs who work together to provide quality patient care. Position Summary
Provides professional nursing care within an assigned unit and coordinates care planning with other disciplines. Recruiter: Jennifer Lawless | apply@covhlth.com Responsibilities
Correlates patient history and support systems within hospital care. Assesses learning needs of patient and family. Develops and initiates teaching plans, involving patient and family. Recommends interventions. Evaluates plan of care. Resolves problems regarding less complex issues without oversight or supervision. Member of established active hospital committee or subcommittee with 75% participation in meetings. Demonstrates willingness to precept new employees/students as directed. Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards. Completes required education assignments annually. Participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. Minimum Education & Experience
Minimum Education: None specified; must meet license/certification standards as required by the issuing authority. Minimum Experience: At least one (1) year of professional experience. Licensure
