Assistant/Associate Professor of Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Director

Brescia University, located in Owensboro, Kentucky, is searching for a full-time, 11-month faculty member who will also serve as the Clinical Site Coordinator for the graduate program and the Director of Campus Counseling, overseeing counseling and psychological services for students. The role requires availability to manage crises during evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
Education and Experience requirements:
Doctoral degree in counselor education or a related field from a CACREP-accredited program
Independently licensed in the Commonwealth of Kentucky to provide therapeutic services
Experience in advising, practicum, internship, and clinical supervision
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Coordinate internship and practicum operations within the Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC) program; track clinical skills and competencies required by outside accreditor
Maintain ongoing communication with clinical sites, university administration, Program Director, faculty, and students
Teach one graduate course per semester
Serve on university committees such as the retention committee and CARE Team
As Director of Campus Counseling, duties include:
Counsel students (caseload not to exceed five students)
Refer students to appropriate long-term providers
Participate in enrollment events, department meetings, and summer orientation
Oversee graduate interns providing counseling services
Provide on-call emergency response when necessary
