Job Description The Department of Management and Entrepreneurship in the Ivy College of Business at Iowa State University is seeking a faculty member to teach Management and/or Entrepreneurship courses beginning January 2026 for the spring semester or August 2026 for the fall semester. This position will be at the rank of Assistant Professor Practice or Assistant Teaching Professor and come with the possibility of both renewal and increased FTE. The teaching assignments will be between one and four sections and may include a variety of classes taught face‑to‑face and online. ISU is a residential campus so, even if some teaching is online, Iowa residency and regular time on campus throughout the semester is required.

ENTSP 3100 – Entrepreneurship and Innovation
ENTSP 3130 – Feasibility Analysis for New Ventures
ENTSP 3200 – Corporate Entrepreneurship
ENTSP 4100 – Social Entrepreneurship
The Department of Management and Entrepreneurship is a vibrant, supportive, and productive group of 40 faculty members (19 tenure‑track and 21 term). With research interests spanning the areas of HR, OB, Strategy, Entrepreneurship, and Healthcare Management, they have published research in a wide variety of top journals, including the Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Journal of Applied Psychology, Personnel Psychology, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, Journal of Management, Organization Science, Strategic Management Journal, and Journal of Business Venturing. The department offers undergraduate degrees in Human Resource Management, Management, Entrepreneurship, Healthcare Management, and International Business. The department also offers a Masters in Entrepreneurship and hosts PhD programs in Management as well as Entrepreneurship.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship. Immigration sponsorship is not available for this position.
Required Minimum Qualifications
Masters degree
Availability to teach face‑to‑face courses on campus
Previous teaching experience in a corporate or academic setting
Recent or continuing professional engagement as required for AACSB accreditation
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with ISU’s learning management system, Canvas
Experience teaching online courses
ABD or Ph.D.
