Experienced Veterinary Client Service Representative/Receptionist – Abingdon Square Veterinary Clinic, NY
Abingdon Square Veterinary Clinic is seeking a dedicated, customer-focused individual to join our team as a full-time Veterinary Client Service Representative/Receptionist. You will be the first point of contact for clients and play a crucial role in providing exceptional service at our modern facility located at 374 6th Ave, New York, NY.

Responsibilities
Client Interaction and Communication
Greet clients warmly and professionally; create a welcoming atmosphere
Schedule appointments, surgeries, and procedures to optimize staff and resources
Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information about services and policies
Check-In and Check-Out Procedures
Manage client check-ins, verify patient information, update records, and collect paperwork
Process payments accurately and provide invoices/receipts
Coordinate follow-up appointments and provide post-operative care instructions
Administrative Tasks and Record Keeping
Maintain accurate electronic and paper records
Filing, scanning, data entry, and management of client information in the practice management software
Client Education and Support
Provide basic information on preventive care, vaccinations, and medications
Assist clients with forms, explain treatment plans, and address concerns
Team Collaboration
Collaborate with veterinarians, technicians, and staff to ensure smooth client service
The Client Service Representative is the first impression of the hospital and must be warm, professional, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a veterinary setting required
Preferred experience using Vetspire practice management software
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills; friendly and professional demeanor
Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to collaborate with the team
Ability to multitask and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency with computer software, including practice management systems and Microsoft Office
Strong organizational skills for appointment management and record keeping
Empathy and patience when dealing with anxious or stressed clients
Benefits
Salary: $21-26/hour, commensurate with qualifications and experience
