Make Your Mark at Prysmian! Overview This position is responsible for conducting the screening and certification testing of experimental cable designs. This work is conducted under the direction of the laboratory manager, using industry standards and laboratory work procedures. Principal Duties & Responsibilities Perform physical, electrical, and flame testing of cable samples in support of industry certifications Participate in external audits by demonstrating testing expertise and knowledge of the laboratory quality management system Maintain laboratory equipment, supplies and working area. Perform minor equipment repairs and calibrations. Commission new test equipment with the support of laboratory management Maintain records and issue reports on test results generated Write and/or provide feedback on testing procedures Other duties as assigned Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Able to follow all safety procedures and identify risks in day to day work The ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing The ability to accurately scope out length and difficulty of tasks and projects; organize work into logical process steps; use time effectively; and establish priorities The ability to work as an individual or as a team Demonstrates sound technical skills and attention to detail.
