Position Summary

BMT & Cellular Therapy Clinical Data Analyst Responsible for reporting both cellular and transplant data as per federal legislation to the Center for International Blood and Marrow Transplant Research (CIBMTR). This role also complies with data submission to the Stem Cell Therapeutic Outcomes Database (SCTOD) as managed by the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP) & CIBMTR. This role is vital for improving outcomes for the Bone Marrow Transplant Program by providing data analysis of transplant patients. Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT) standards also mandate the center meets benchmark for 1‑year survival statistics. This position requires a clinical oncology and cellular therapy professional background to understand the medical terminology, chemotherapy, medications, protocols, natural history of the diseases, pathology, and products used to treat our patients.
Responsibilities
Review, analyze and interpret information and data from multiple resources to identify information for inclusion into identified database fields.
Accurate collection and timely submission of transplant and cellular therapy data to CIBMTR and the maintenance of the Program’s internal database.
Monitors program’s Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) report to ensure program maintains good standing as required by CIBMTR.
Develops, documents, and implements data management processes and ensures compliance with all applicable regulatory and departmental SOPs, regulations, and guidelines.
Interprets, evaluates, and analyzes clinical information to appropriately quantify patient status and data for entry into program and regulatory databases.
Notifies appropriate persons of incomplete, missing data elements or data entry discrepancies.
Reviews and assesses completion of all supplemental data requests and forms including those related to NMDP Research Database.
Prepares for, participates in, and serves as liaison for audits conducted by the BMT Program and external agencies.
Utilizes root cause analysis to develop corrective action plan for any data and/or audit deficiencies.
Participation in Quarterly Quality meetings and provides report on engraftment data, survival outcomes, etc.
Tracking of transplant and cellular therapy infusion volumes.
Collaborates with Quality Specialist for data needs and audits.
Organizes and assists in the completion of requests for information (RFI) forms from monitoring agencies, insurance companies and pharmaceutical companies.
Collaborates with research team to assure compliance with Internal Review Board (IRB) for Investigational Study requirements.
Oversees management of protocols and consent forms for BMT studies.
Actively communicates with program administration and quality team regarding any data concerns and reports progress toward quarterly data goals.
Maintains CITI, GCP and BPHL training.
Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.

Qualifications Education/Training Associate Degree (required)
Licensure/Certification RN License (required)
Experience Minimum of 5 years of relevant healthcare experience (required) Bone Marrow Transplant & Cellular Therapy experience (preferred)
