CERTIFIED PHARM TECH (Full or Part Time)
The Certified Pharmacy Technician is primarily responsible for guest satisfaction and for ensuring the efficient, safe, and effective operation of the pharmacy under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
Key Responsibilities
When a guest enters the pharmacy, acknowledge, greet, and engage the guest.
Build a reputation for ultimate guest service.
Handle prescription processing, counting, labeling, and reconstitution; manage inventory and medication therapy management as allowed by state law.
Maintain confidentiality of patient records.
Maintain guest charge and delivery records.
Mail out prescriptions.
Handle phone calls to and from provider offices and guests within scope of practice/license.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Key Requirements
High school diploma, GED, or working toward a high school diploma or equivalent for no more than two years.
Active pharmacy technician license issued by the state board of pharmacy in the state where you practice, in good standing.
Maintain required continuing education and renew license as required by the state board.
Detail-oriented.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays as required.
Experience in retail pharmacy is a plus.
Knowledge of pharmacy-related law.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to perform all physical aspects of the job, including bending, squatting, lifting, climbing, standing, and walking for 8–12 hours per shift.
Team player who gets along with others.
Ability to accept supervisory coaching related to performance, work habits, and attitude.
