Job Summary
Provide planned, face-to-face, goal-oriented therapeutic interactions as a qualified individual with clients and their family members to address family system dysfunction related to the client's substance use, in accordance with the rehabilitation plan. Job Responsibilities
Use accepted principles of family therapy to influence family interaction patterns. Examine family interaction styles and identify dysfunctional behavior patterns. Develop motivation for change in family members. Apply skills and strategies to improve family functioning. Generalize and stabilize change through insight and skills to promote healthy family interactions independently. Provide group therapy and education. Conduct in-home therapy as needed. Monitor and document therapy and education sessions. Maintain schedule flexibility, including weekend and evening hours, to meet client needs. Meet monthly productivity and billing requirements. Assist with individual substance use counseling as needed. Job Requirements
Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills. Timely documentation. Ability to assess family interaction patterns and utilize evidence-based family therapy modalities. Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree in psychology, social work, or counseling, or certification by the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. Minimum of one year supervised experience in family counseling. Two years of sobriety if in recovery. Valid Class E driver’s license and reliable vehicle with insurance.
