We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. This is a part time position needed on Wednesdays only. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care and be proficient in various dental software systems. This role is essential for providing high-quality dental hygiene services, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining the highest standards of infection control and safety.
Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and assessments for patients of all ages.
Take and document vital signs, medical imaging, and other necessary patient information accurately.
Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify oral health issues and develop appropriate care plans.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and the importance of regular dental visits.
Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure proper documentation review.
Implement aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Stay updated on dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical coding practices relevant to the field.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional patient care and support in a busy clinic environment.
Experience Candidates should have prior experience in a dental office or clinic setting, demonstrating proficiency in:
Practiceworks or Dentrix software systems for managing patient records and appointments.
Knowledge of general dentistry practices as well as pediatric care approach.
A solid understanding of infection control measures and safety protocols within a dental practice.
