is recruiting for

Lead Social Service Practitioners

who function as lead workers and provide diagnosis, assessment, intervention, and case management support to individual groups, children and/or families with complex health, psychosocial or economic problems. Incumbents also perform specialized social work duties, train and mentor Social Workers and lower level Social Service Practitioners, and assist Supervising Social Service Practitioners with supervisory functions. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT Travel:

Travel throughout the County is required. A valid California Class C Driver License is required to carry out the essential job-related functions of this position. Physical:

Employees visit clients in their homes and other settings to complete risk and safety assessments. Incumbents must be able to visually assess allegations of abuse and the client's environment as mandated by the State of California. Positions require ability to lift and carry children up to fifty (50) lbs. Sponsorship:

Two (2) years of experience, all of which must have been obtained within the last five (5) years, in a

government child welfare agency

performing duties equivalent to a journey-level Social Service Practitioner in San Bernardino County. --AND-- Education:

A Master's degree in Social Work from a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education

-OR-

a Master's degree in Human Services, Psychology, Counseling with an emphasis in marriage, family, or child counseling, or a closely related field. Candidates in Final Year of Master's Program
