The laboratories of Dr. Le Xuan Truong Nguyen in the Department of Hematological Malignancies and Translational Sciences are seeking highly motivated and innovative Postdoctoral Fellow. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established team and lead projects that culminate in publications in high-impact journals.

Our research focuses on drug development, uncovering basic mechanisms, and identifying novel therapeutic targets in leukemogenesis and solid tumors. Specifically, we study genetic and epigenetic biomarkers with prognostic value in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and other solid cancers. Our work emphasizes therapeutic candidates targeting mitochondrial vulnerabilities, including nucleoside analogs, small GTPase inhibitors, natural plant extracts, and immunotherapies.

Responsibilities

Performing experimental procedures

Manage data, analyze, and report findings

Write scientific papers

Work with PI and other team members to perform experiments in vitro and in vivo

Utilize the following in vitro skills (not limited to but including):

Aseptic techniques, cell culture, western blot, RNA/DNA extraction, protein extraction, RT-qPCR, seahorse, northern blot, bacterial transformation, cloning, lentivirus production, etc.

Utilize the following in vivo skills (not limited to but including):

Basic routes of administration (oral gavage, intraperitoneal, retro-orbital, subcutaneous, intra-venous injections), blood collection, organ harvesting (spleen, bone marrow, liver, etc.)

Qualifications

A Ph.D. degree in life or biomedical sciences, or related discipline is required.

Preferred experience in molecular signaling, cancer biology, leukemia research, and extensive murine studies.

Experience in immunology is an advantage.
